Change My Kansas Registered Agent

Electronic Filing

You can access the Kansas Secretary of State website to change your resident agent online. You will need either your Business Entity name or your Business Entity ID Number.

If you have forgotten your ID Number, you can conduct a Business Entity Search.

There is a $30 filing fee. You can pay by Credit Card or E-Check.

Paper Filings

When you sign up with Kansas Registered Agent Service, all forms will be available prepopulated in your online account.

The LLC Form: Change of Registered Office or Agent by a Limited Liability Company

The Corporation Form: Change of Registered Office or Agent by a Corporation

The Filing Fee: $35

Fax

You can print out a Change of Registered Office or Agent form and fax it to the Secretary of State’s office.

There is an additional $20 fax filing fee (per document).

Mail or In-Person

When you sign up with us, the proper form will be prepopulated in your online account. You can print the form, sign it and mail it or deliver it to the Kansas Secretary of State.

Don’t forget to include your filing fee. You can pay with a Check or Money Order. Make checks payable to Kansas Secretary of State. If you deliver your documents In-Person, you can pay Cash.

Processing generally takes two to three business days (assuming all documents are complete and properly filled out).
